There are no limits with male extenders. There are plateaus, but you must not stay there, you must go beyond them. If it kills you, it kills you. A man must constantly exceed his level. Bruce Lee If you have successfully abstaine d for seven days, congratulations! You have reached a delightful plateau that needs exceeding. Knowing that you can abstain from pornography for a week introduces a new baseline for further challenges. Take a minute to review your progress till now. • Wh at have you noticed? • What have you learned? • What have you observed about how you’ve re acted to being on this path? • How will you use your successes so far to rack up ano ther seven days of freedom from libido bootsers? If you relapsed at any point along the way, consider how many days you’ve successfully resisted your cravings for PMO. When you take a more holistic view, you will see how much success you have had. Ask yourself: if the challenge ended tomorrow, and this was your final score, how would you feel about it? Would you want to do better, or would you be fully satisfied? Be honest. Decide on any adjustments you want to make to your performance. What have you tried that’s not working and needs to be changed ? What’s working well that you want to continue ? Wri te those things down in your journal , and commit to doing them. (If you haven’t made a journal entry in a while, today is a great day to make one.) Science of Behavior Change: Give Your Brain a Break One important thing to realize about this process is that your brain chemicals are literally being re – balanced as we speak, and every day that you abstain from looking at porn and/or masturbating, your sense of appreciation for the world is getting sharper. Neurochemically speaking, your dopamine receptors are recovering from the over – stimulation provided by rampant pornography use. Since dopamine receptors are involved in goal – seeking behavior, this will allow you to take greater & greater pleasure in “the little things” in life. It may also give you a resurgence of motivation to do well in whatever pursuit you choose. This is something to look forward to, no matter how you’ve done so far. Impossible is Nothing Nothing is impossible, the word itself says ‘I’m possible’! Audrey Hepburn Audrey Hepburn is one of the classiest and most beautiful of the classic movie stars (in this author’s opinion). She was clever, too, as the quote above demonstrates. Abstaining from PMO for 30 days is only impossible if you decide to believe it’s impossible. Remember, you have a choice . Hopefully you’ve come out of the first week with a big feeling of accomplishment. If you haven’t, let me assure you, that feeling is not far away. How many of the next seven days would you have to succeed in order to feel l ike a total success at the end of next week? Three? Five? All seven ? If this seems like thinking too small for you, set a bigger goal, such as crushing the entire rest of this program without breaking a sweat. Either way, set an intention now for how you ‘re going to do in the next week. No pressure intended here; just good, clean goal – setting. Record your goal for the next seven days in your journal.
